An Interview with Dr. Alexander
We had the opportunity to interview Dr. Alexander and here's what she had to say:
What got you interested in the field of
? Rheumatology is rapidly changing and growing as more treatment options and new research becomes available. I love that rheumatology challenges me to be up to date on the most recent research, and I love translating that into better outcomes for my patients. I also love the close patient relationships that are formed over time.
What can your future patients expect from you as their provider of rheumatic care? I strive to be very empathetic and work alongside the patient to develop the best plan for their unique disease process. Patients can expect me to be very thorough and diligent.
What do you love most about being back in Kentucky (after having completed your fellowship in Ohio)? I love the people and the rolling hills. Kentucky has always been home and being closer to UK sports is a plus so I can cheer on my Wildcats!
What are some of your favorite hobbies? Spending time with family, being involved in our church, crafting, hiking, and travel. If I wasn't a doctor, I would spend my time learning foreign languages and pretending to be Joanna Gaines.
